1986 2CV 007. High quality restoration on new galvanized chassis.
This superb, late model 2CV received a proper body-off restoration by a well know 2CV specialist in the Netherlands. Starting with a new galvanized chassis, a great number of new components were used during the work: new brake lines, brake cylinders, pads and rotors, new wheel rims and tires, new shock absorbers, a new exhaust system front to rear, four new fenders, new bumpers, bumper brackets and over-riders, a new headlight bar, a new alternator, solid state voltage regulator, new spark plugs and cables, new engine and transmission mounts. A high quality paint job was professionally applied. She received a new convertible roof and new seat upholstery, and so much more! Brakes and steering are excellent. She has disc brakes on the front, and drums on the rear. This is a very handsome 2CV with excellent paint and interior. She is a soundly running car! These cars return great fuel mileage and are a lot of fun to drive. The late model 2CVs have plenty of power to keep up with modern traffic in the city, and will drive along happily all day long at 65 mph on the highway. They are famously reliable, and if you’d need anything parts are readily available and inexpensive. An English language owner’s manual comes with the car.
